A gifted finger-style guitarist with a warm baritone voice, Van Kirk set aside a Ph.D. in science to pursue his passion for songs and storytelling. His performances weave myth, memory, and modern life into vivid tales where everyone is invited to be the hero. From phoenixes in desert diners to subway-riding queens, his music is as imaginative as it is heartfelt.

Praised by the Borderline Folk Club as “what every singer-songwriter should aspire to,” Kray Van Kirk brings a performance that is poignant, whimsical, and deeply human.
