August 10, 2012 - Davis Art Center News / Art Walks the Runway in September

Fort Myers, Fl (August 10, 2012) - The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center presents "Art Walks the Runway: A Weekend of Fashion" on Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8. The Friday night show will take place place during Art Walk and will feature fashions from downtown River District boutiques along with a special performance art runway show and Exotic Hair art show.

July 30, 2012 - Rupee Headlines Carnival

Fort Myers, Fl (July 30, 2012) - On September 22, 2012, Caribbean Carnival comes to Southwest Florida as King Leo Promotions, in association with Hotel Indigo, presents their 5th Annual Riddim Runway Festival, carnival style. The streets of downtown Fort Myers will be filled with carnival costumed-paraders and end with a benefit concert featuring international reggae and soca artists.

July 6, 2012 - Davis Art Center News / Kevin Mauldin Jazz Trio Performing at July Music Walk

Fort Myers, Fl (July 6, 2012) - On Friday, July 20, the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center will host a Jazz Jam Session with bass player Kevin Mauldin, drummer Rick Iannuzzi, and pianist Danny Sinoff. The performance will take place during Music Walk, beginning at 7 p.m. The Art Center is located in the River District, downtown Fort Myers, at 2301 First Street.

July 6, 2012 - Riddim Runway 2012 Carnival

Fort Myers, Fl (July 6, 2012) - On September 22nd 2012, Riddim Runway Carnival Style comes to the River District. Riddim Runway is an annual benefit fashion show and concert that showcases the Caribbean culture while raising much-needed funds for area charities. In our fifth year this year, we are happy to partner with Hotel Indigo and go Carnival Style.

Surprisingly, during the summer months our need for volunteers increases! Currently the Edison Ford is seeking volunteers for the following positions: Museum docents, group tour docents, Lab docents, river cruise docents, gardening and horticulture, and office support.
