claudia-art-for-actClaudia Goode, Gallery Curator at Art for ACT
Claudia Goode is a mixed media artist, who divides her time between family, art and ACT. Raising awareness and indulging in a LOVE for ART is her passion! for the past ten years, Claudia Goode has been involved with ACT, the domestic violence and sexual assault center in Fort Myers, Florida, as Director of Operations and for nine years, as the curator of its art gallery, "Arts for ACT" and boutique. You might detect her birthplace from her accent, however slight... when she tells you "she was born in Lou-a-vall" (Louisville, Kentucky). she has resided in Fort Myers for over 30 years, raising her family here. Married for over 35 years, she is the mother of two grown daughters. She is soon to become a Grandmother, much to her delight. She is a down-to-earth person with a strong passion for the creative arts and has been since the age of five. Collage is her medium of choice; she infuses her collages with a dreamlike quality filled with symbolism using paint, paper, photos, found objects and more. She loves the first week of each and every month, when she is creating the new look at Arts for ACT Gallery, hanging sometimes hundreds of new works of art from the three or more featured artists' that exhibit at ACT Gallery. Her current path has brought her much love, creativity and passion!
