ART WALK - Downtown Fort Myers River District

Art Walk is a monthly art and cultural event held the first Friday of each month from 6pm - 10pm in Downtown Fort Myers, River District. The event is a self-guided and self-paced tour of our Downtown Art Gallerioes and Businesses. An "Art Stop" is a participating business that showcases art during Art Walk, and includes galleries, retail shops, museums, and even restaurant and bars.

The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center - Florida Arts

SBDAC_logoFounded in 1997 by Jim Griffith as Florida Arts, Incorporated, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center holds the annual Florida Arts Festival and numerous other exhibitions, galas, and performances.

The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center's mission is to nurture innovation and excellence in the visual and performing arts through education, entertainment, and outreach programs.  The 23,000 square foot Art Center brings world-renowned artists to Southwest Florida, providing a venue for traveling shows and local emerging artists.

Arts for ACT Gallery & Boutique

We represent over 75 local, national, and international artists. being a truly eclectic gallery, our artists include among others, the late four-time gold medal Olympic discus winner and abstract painter Al Oerter, Everglades photographer Clyde Butcher, holistic Folk Art Blues Painter Lennie Jones, Watercolorist David Belling, the limited edition prints of Darryl Pottorf, Romero Britto and the late world-renowned artist, Robert Rauschenberg. the gallery is reminiscent of a SoHo gallery in NYC, with over 2800 square feet, consisting of many gallery rooms ranging from formal to funky, with distressed brick walls and warm wooden and mosaic tile floors. The gallery features original art, giclees, limited edition prints, hand-crafted fine crafts, jewelry, gourd &fiber art, raku, clay and more. It is a must-see destination for all art lovers and collectors, providing a unique opportunity for everyone to learn and enjoy art.

ArtFest Fort Myers - Fine Art Festival

artfestArtFest Fort Myers, Southwest Florida's premier fine art festival, takes place in beautiful downtown Fort Myers on the first weekend in February. Every year, Fort Myers' waterfront and green spaces are transformed into a beautiful, stress free, open air art gallery overflowing with exceptional artwork, great entertainment and fun children's art activities.

The Art of the Olympians Gallery & Museum

Art of the Olympians is a 501(c ) 3 non‐profit organization, headquartered in Fort Myers, FL., dedicated to inspiring creativity and stimulating change through an international program of art, education and outreach initiatives. By introducing, an individual, particularly youth, to the ancient Olympic ideals of excellence in mind, body and spirit we aim to enhance the relationship between athletics and aesthetics. The discipline, dedication and passion born and cultivated in an athlete’s physical training stimulates a desire for creativity.

The creative expression exhibited by our Olympian Artists is a celebration of cultures, nations and self—as the founders of the ancient Olympic Games intended.

Florida Repertory Theatre

flrep_logoCelebrating over 12 years of Award-Winning Regional Theatre, Florida Rep is a fully professional theatre company located in the heart of the Fort Myers River District that produces a wide variety of comedies, dramas and musicals. Performing in the newly renovated Historic Arcade Theatre, Florida Rep brings more than 70,000 people to the River District annually throughout its October to May season. Florida Rep is the only theatre company of its caliber in Southwest Florida, and was recently praised nationally by The Wall Street Journal. In February 2010 acclaimed Drama Critic, Terry Teachout, said that Florida Rep “Sets the bar high,” and in 2009 called Florida Rep’s work “Profoundly Satisfying,” and told America to “Make haste to Fort Myers, where the weather is warm and the theater fine!”

Edison & Ford Winter Estates

thumb_Edison__Ford_logo_with_2_addresses_-_colorThe art program at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates is an extension of the interests of the Edison and Ford families and the historic site Mina Miller Edison (wife of Thomas) and her family were involved in the Chautauqua Institute, which her father started. The Chautauqua Movement spread throughout America engaged communities with many famous artists, authors and leaders. Henry and Clara Ford created Greenfield Village in Michigan where they collected important American art and craft.
