Freedom Fest 2011
Let the fun begin. It will all happen in the Downtown Historic River District of Fort Myers!
Renda Broadcasting begins at 1:00 p.m. with your last chance to get a key to open The Vault.
The block party begins at 2:00 p.m. with two childrenʼs amusement areas that include a rock climbing wall, a bungee jump, games, bounce houses and more. Several downtown restaurants will be selling their food inside and out. Vendors will be selling everything from sunglasses to kettle corn and sno cones. $5.00 wristbands go on sale at 2:00 p.m. for the Preferred Viewing Area as well as $10.00 wristbands for discounts at over 30 merchants. Proceeds from the $10.00 wristbands will benefit the American Legion Post 38 and the River District Alliance. DJ Tommy Tunes will keep it all rocking. The block party is presented by Your Local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Truck Dealers.
At 3:30 p.m. Renda begins their registration for The Vault, and at 5:30 p.m. the Vault opening begins!
6:00 p.m. High Tide begins their first set (First & Jackson) and Oysters Fantastic band begins on another stage in the Patio. Followed by Deb & The Dynamics (First & Monroe), Fakahatchee (Hendry & Main) and No Way Jose (Broadway & Main) all begin performing at 7:00 pm.
At 7:30 p.m. Strange Arrangement begins their performance at Hendry & Bay and Memphis 56 plays in the Patio DeLeon.
At 8:00 p.m. our Preferred Viewing area will open in the Harborside parking lot. Wristbands may be purchased for $5.00 per person (children 5 & under free) beginning at 2:00p.m. at several tables set up throughout the event. These seats will be the best in the house for viewing the fireworks, seating is limited and can not be reserved in advance.
Fireworks presented by Chicoʼs FAS, Inc. and choreographed to music broadcast on 102.9 BOB FM begin at 9:30 p.m. and the block party with live music on six stages continues after the grande finale!!
